VOA Colorado Mission

They have a great facility in downtown Denver. It was so easy to volunteer here. On the VOA Colorado website, you are able to sign up for your desired slot. Sometimes it will say online that a specific time slot is full, but make sure to call and ask, because they always welcome more volunteers. I arrived for my shift at 11 am. (2 hour shifts usually) Megan Frieling, the on-site volunteer specialist, gave us a lovely tour of the facility and gave us a run-down of what our shift will consist of that day. Our tasks were very easy, straightforward, and fun! All we had to do was prep the kitchen, prepare the meals, serve them, and clean up after. We had about 8 volunteers total on that shift and we proudly served meals to about 50 people. It was so fun and so rewarding!
